Aleph Tav Alert: Habakkuk

HABAKKUK

(Havakuk)

Verse one identifies the author as an oracle from the Prophet Habakkuk, whose name in Hebrew means to embrace. Habakkuk was a prophet sent to the House of Judah after the destruction of Nineveh. The book was written approximately between 610 and 605 B.C. and is a conversation between Habakkuk and Elohim as to why His chosen people were suffering at the hands of their enemies. Elohim answers Habakkuk and faith is restored.

Aleph/Tav ALERT: The Book of Nahum is also only 3 short chapters and has only a total of 4 Aleph/Tav את Symbols. The first Aleph/Tav את Symbol speaks of how את righteous are hindered in 1:4 Therefore the Torah is slacked and justice never does go forth; for the wicked does compass about את the righteous; therefore justice goes forth perverted…and because of this את Y’shua prophesies through Habakkuk in 1:6 For indeed, I raise up את the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, that march through the breadth of the earth, to possess dwelling-places that are not theirs…and Habakkuk prophesies concerning את Y’shua in 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of את glory of יהוה, as the waters cover the sea. Chapter 4 ends with a prayer from the Prophet Habakkuk which states in 3:13 You (Elohim) went forth for the salvation of your people, even for salvation with את your anointed; you wound the head out of the house of the wicked man, laying bare the foundation even to the neck…implying את Y’shua is the one who brings both judgment from the Yah-head and salvation to His chosen, just as His name implies.
