EZEKIEL
(Yechezkel)
Ezekiel 1:3 identifies the Prophet Ezekiel as the author, which was likely written between 593 and 565 B.C. during the Babylonian captivity of the House of Judah. The name Ezekiel means El is my strength. He was also a contemporary of both Jeremiah and Daniel and ministered to his people who were both extremely sinful and thoroughly hopeless if they would not repent. Ezekiel, destined to begin his life’s ministry as a priest at age thirty, had a majestic vision of יהוה Father’s glory, which captivated his soul and forever changed his life. Ezekiel attempted to bring his people to repentance and he taught that Elohim’s covenant people must obey Torah if they expected to avoid judgment and receive blessings. Ezekiel’s book can be divided into four sections: Chapters 1-24: warning prophecies on the ruin of Jerusalem; chapters 25-32: prophecies of Elohim’s judgment on nearby nations; chapter 33: a last call for repentance to Israel; and chapters 34-48: prophecies concerning the future restoration of Israel.

Chapter one is dedicated to Ezekiel’s visions of Elohim whereby יהוה Spirit comes on him and את speaks in 2:2 and I heard את speaking to me…and says 2:7 And you shall speak את My words to them…and Ezekiel is commanded not to be rebellious but to eat the scroll (word) in 2:8 Open your mouth and eat את that which I give you…these words Ezekiel is commanded to speak to the children of Israel in 3:10 Son of Man, אֶת־ all My words that I shall speak to you…
Ezekiel is commanded to lay on his side as a sacrifice for atonement for the sins of both Houses and we see a type and foreshadow of את Y’shua the Messiah, as the Son of Man in Eze 4:4 Moreover lie you upon your left side and lay את iniquity of the House of Israel upon it…you shall bear את their iniquity. 5 For I have laid upon you את years of their iniquity to be to you a number of days…6 And again, when you have accomplished את this, you shall lie on your right side and shall bear את iniquity of the House of Judah.
We see again the manifestation of the cloud which represents את Y’shua in Eze 10:4 and the house was filled את the cloud and the court was full את brightness of יהוה glory. We also see numerous times that יהוה Father’s face is represented through את Y’shua as in Eze 15:7 And I will set את My face against them…and you shall know that I am יהוה, when I set את My face against them…implying that to set יהוה Father’s face against them, is to set את Y’shua face against them for יהוה Father works through את Y’shua face together as ONE with man.
The Yah-head prophecies through Ezekiel that in spite of את Children of Israel’s sin He promises to remember His את covenant through את Y’shua and promises to make a future everlasting covenant in Eze 16:60 Nevertheless will remember I את My covenant with you in the days of your youth and I will establish to you an Everlasting Covenant…62 And will establish I את My covenant with you; and you shall know that I am יהוה…pointing to Calvary. Also concerning the righteous who walk uprightly in Eze 18:19 When the son has done that which is lawful and right and has done את all My statutes and has done them, he shall surely live…20 The soul that sins, it shall die…21 But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he has committed and keep את all My statutes and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Just as Moses and the other prophets state, Ezekiel also confirms who Adonai of the Sabbath is in Eze 20:12 Also את My Sabbaths I gave them, to be a sign (mark) between Me and them that they might know that I am יהוה that sanctifies them. 21 But the children rebelled against Me…neither kept My ordinances to do them, which if a man do, he shall live in them; את My Sabbaths they profaned…confirmation is in Luke 6:5 Then Y’shua said to them, The Son of Man is Adonai of the Sabbath.
Examples of Father’s spirit speaking together as one with and through את Y’shua His את words for Ezekiel to speak concerning judgment of the shepherds in Eze 34:7 Therefore, you shepherds, hear את word of יהוה: 8 neither did they search My shepherds for את My flock, 9 therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of יהוה…10 Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require את My flock at their hand and cause them to cease from feeding the sheep. 11 Surely, I Myself, even I, will both search for את My sheep and will seek them out.12 I will seek out את My sheep; and I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered…16 את that which was lost, I will seek and will bring back that which was driven away.
Father, by His spirit also works both with and through את Y’shua to sanctify His name in Eze 36:23 And I will sanctify את My name greatly…and the nations shall know that I am יהוה, says Adonai יהוה, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. 24 For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all the countries and will bring you into your own land. 26 A new heart also will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away את heart of stone out of your flesh…27 And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you את in My statutes to walk and you shall keep My ordinances and do them.
In John 11:25 Y’shua said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life…this is confirmed in Eze 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, so says Adonai יהוה: Surely, I will open את your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, O My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel. 13 And you shall know that I am יהוה, when I have opened את your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, O My people…implying יהוה Father through את Y’shua returning will open the graves on resurrection day at the last trump (1 Cor 15:52).
Also יהוה Father by His spirit together through את Y’shua will bring the two houses back together in Eze 37:19 Say to them, so said Adonai יהוה; see, I will take את stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim and the tribes of Israel his fellows and will put them with him, with את stick of Judah and make them one stick and they will be one in My hand. 21 And say to them, so said Adonai יהוה; see, I will take את Children of Israel from among the heathen, where they have gone and will gather them on every side and bring them into their own land…24 And David My servant will be king over them…26 Also I will make a Covenant of Peace with them; it will be an Everlasting Covenant with them: and I will place them and multiply them and will set את My sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore…28 And the heathen will know that I יהוה do sanctify את Israel, when My sanctuary will be in the midst of them forevermore.
