SONG OF SOLOMON

Without question Solomon wrote Song of Solomon, according to the first verse. This Song is one of 1,005 that Solomon wrote according to 1 Kings 4:32. The title “Song of Songs” is a superlative, meaning this is his best one and it was most likely written during the early part of his reign around 965 B.C. before his heart turned away from Elohim. The placement of the Aleph/ Tav’s in the Song actually enhances the lyric poem to extol the virtues of love between a husband, symbolic of messiah and his wife, symbolic of the bride. The poem clearly presents marriage between a husband and wife as Elohim’s design for the human race. A man and woman are to live together only within the context and commitment by covenant marriage, loving each other both physically and emotionally in their obedience to Elohim’s commandments. The marriage profiled and description in the Song is a model for believers of how true commitment, brings both physical and spiritual fulfillment. Aleph/Tav ALERT: The Song of Solomon is only 8 short chapters with only 21 Aleph Tav את Symbols and we can clearly see, from their placement, that the book is a divinely inspired allegory of the eternal true love between Y’shua the Messiah and His beautiful bride. Again we see, just as in the Book of Ecclesiastes, that Father’s Memorial Name (יהוה) is never used in the Song of Solomon. From the very beginning we see the woman (bride) who has neglected her own vineyard to care for the vineyard of את Y’shua whom she loves…1:6 they made me keeper of את the vineyards…this typifies our role on earth as the covenant Bride of Messiah.
The Bride calls out…2:14 let me hear את your voice; for sweet is your voice, and your countenance is comely…3:1 By night on my bed I sought him את who loves my soul…2 I said, I will rise now…I will seek him את who loves my soul…4 It was but a little that I passed from them, when I found him את who loves my soul, I held him. 5:8…if you find את my beloved, that you tell him, that I am sick from love…7:12 There will I give את my love to you. 8:4 I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem that you stir not up, nor awake את love, until he pleases. 8:7 Many waters cannot quench את love, neither can floods drown it.
