MICAH
(Mikhah)
The first verse tells us the author of the book was the Prophet Micah. The Book of Micah was written approximately between 735 and 700 B.C. The Hebrew name Micah means Who is like Yah. The book has also been called “Isaiah in miniature” because it is essentially the same message as the prophecy of Isaiah. Micah was sent to prophecy to all 12 tribes of both the House of Judah (Jacob) and the House of Israel of coming judgment for the sins of corrupt leadership and idolatry but promises hope if they will repent. The prophet condemns the rulers, priests and prophets of Israel who exploit and mislead the people and claims it is because of their deeds that Jerusalem will be invaded and destroyed. Micah has some very powerful prophecies concerning את Y’shua the Messiah.

Aleph/Tav ALERT: The Book of Micah is only 7 short chapters and has only a total of 15 Aleph/Tav את Symbols. The first two chapters have no Aleph/Tav את Symbols but where the first Aleph/Tav את Symbol is placed clearly identifies and confirms את Y’shua as their judge as the rulers are given a stern rebuke in Micah 3:1 And I said, hear, I pray you, you heads of Jacob (House of Judah) and rulers of the House of Israel: is it not for you to know את judgment? The rebuke continues in 3:5 So says יהוה concerning the prophets that make to err את My people; that bite with their teeth and cry, Peace; and whoever puts not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him: Micah continues in 8 But as for me, I am full of power by את Spirit of יהוה and of judgment and of might, to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin. 9 Hear this, I pray you, you heads of the House of Jacob and rulers of the House of Israel that despise justice ואת all justice they pervert. Concerning the last days when men shall beat their swords into plowshares 7 And I will make את the lame a remnant and the outcast a strong nation: and יהוה will reign over them in Mount Zion from henceforth even forever…implying a work את Y’shua will do. Micah prophecies of the Messiah in 5:1 they shall strike upon the cheek את judge of Israel with a rod…implying את Y’shua is our judge and He was struck in the face (Luke 22:64) before going to Calvary. In the last days את Y’shua as judge takes vengeance in 5:15 And I will execute in anger, wrath and vengeance את upon the heathen (gentiles) which have not obeyed. John 5:22 For the Father judges no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son.
